About Me

I have always been that girl that never knew where she fit it. I'm SHY until you get to know me, QUIRKY, clumsy and awkward in social gatherings and crowded places.

When you're awkward its difficult to make friends because most of the time you're the weird one in the group and well, we all know how mean kids can be. I was bullied, my nickname was Pinocchio and only had a small group of friends. When you have trouble fitting in having stomach problems and food intolerances doesn't make life any easier. During school I STRUGGLED with food so much that I was sick all the time. I didn't know what I could and couldn't eat which resulted in terrible stomach issues, weight loss, low energy and very low self esteem.

In 2006 I had my first colonoscopy and was misdiagnosed with Krohn's Disease and was taking 8 medications a day but was not getting any better. Eating was MISERY because I never knew what would cause a flare up or when I would get sick. I stopped taking the medications after several weeks and tried to live with the symptoms. In 2010 I had another colonoscopy and was told that there is nothing clinically wrong with me. At this point I was staying away from dairy which seemed to help a little, but even then I was getting sick 2 to 3 times a week.  A friend had suggested going Gluten Free which I did even though I tested negative for Celiac. As it turns out I do not tolerate gluten. Cutting gluten and dairy out of my life made a tremendous difference but there was something that still upset my stomach so I began to eliminate things and kept a food journal. I then discovered that I have an intolerance to corn derivatives as well. I know right?? What do I eat?

Ok so I have been gluten, dairy and corn free since 2012 and that was working for a few years but I was still never completely free of symptoms and was struggling with fluctuating weight and serious lack of energy.
in 2015 I had another Colonoscopy (I am pretty much over those!) which showed inflammation and I also tested positive for SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth). I was prescribed over $600 of antibiotics and was eating only eggs, chicken and avocados because everything else seemed to make me sick.
Lets forward to me discovering Shakeology. Honestly at this point I was willing to try anything. Expensive antibiotics, overpriced ProBiotics and crazy diets were not helping so what harm could a shake do?

Well I have no problems saying that Shakeology SAVED my life. That sounds CRAZY but its true. I have been symptom FREE starting the first week I tried it and have never felt better. My self esteem has risen, I don't mind going out with friends, my boyfriend and I are happier since I am no longer a Debbie-downer that wanted to stay home all the time, I used to look for the bathroom first thing we walk into a restaurant. Going out on a boat, canoeing or anywhere outdoors used to be a no no and NOW we actually go and
 EXPERIENCE life !!

The other great thing is I don't have to worry about going on vacation or trips and not being able to eat. Seriously being Gluten and Dairy free is hard, but add Corn? Well thats a challenge.

I just bring my Shake with me everywhere we go and I always have a meal. WINNING !!

I have had a fantastic career as a hairstylist, salon owner and had the privilege to educate for John Paul Mitchell Systems. I always knew that I enjoyed being my own boss, I don't want someone to tell me when I can go on vacation, when I could go home and what time I would need to arrive(Plus when you're sick all the time you have to be on your own schedule). Owning my own salon was the answer. I opened my salon in 2011 and business was amazing. After being in business for 3 years things fell apart. Our Landlord decided to not renew our lease and refused to pay for repairs on the building. I lost not only my business but also over $200,000 of investments.
We were devastated but didn't lose faith. I moved into a single station salon studio and continued doing hair and was able to keep my book of guests that I have been building.

Before all this happened I met my boyfriend who lives in Orlando so besides dealing with a business that is about to blow up (but not in a good way) I was traveling for a long distance relationship.
I was mentally and physically exhausted.

Lets fast forward a bit to make this quicker.... I now live in Orlando with my boyfriend (plus our kitty and puppy) and can honestly say I am the happiest I have ever been.
After struggling for years driving back and forth and stressing out paying for an apartment, (I was never at) hundreds of dollars in gas every month and my declining health we decided that something had to give.
I moved to Orlando and gave up my studio.

How does Beachbody fit in with all of this you ask?
Beachbody has allowed me to be my own boss, make my own schedule, work in my pajamas if I so choose(I might be writing this in PJs) and gave me a new family.

After deciding that I was going to try Shakeology I asked my Coach about the workouts. She told me about 21 Day Fix and that it is 30 minute workouts with easy to use containers for portion control.
Honestly I was just making the purchase for the shake and figured I was getting all that extra stuff for free (I wasn't gonna do the workouts anyways, I told myself).
But....I LOVED the workouts !!
I finished the program and was hooked, the Shake was the solution I have been praying for and I was feeling great, had more energy and I was getting HEALTHY.

This is not a website about getting ripped, or my journey to get skinny but about HAPPINESS.

Becoming a COACH has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I was INSPIRING people to make a change, which is the most amazing feeling !!
Especially since I was the girl that never really fit it !!!
I love the emails that I get from people that I had apparently inspired to get healthy
and completely chance their life because of these programs, just like me !!
I know their transformations were not due to me, they committed to themselves and stuck with it.
However knowing that I had a tiny IMPACT in their lives made me feel complete.

I want you to feel AMAZING about yourself every single day of your life. I want you to wake up with a smile and be excited to take on your day. I want you to be confident in yourself because you are beautiful and can do anything you set your sights on ! I believe in your ability to reach your DESIRES.

Let's do this together and get started now on getting you back on track to pushing towards your dreams!
